AI follow-up calls for cleaning companies

EastSherman's AI Follow-Up Rep calls cleaning customers who gave recorded permission for an AI call, such as households with an open deep-clean or move-out quote, or recurring clients who paused. It answers approved questions and offers your booking link or records a team request. It costs $197/month for 600 minutes and doesn't text.

Why cleaning quotes go cold

Cleaning quotes don't usually get a firm no. They fade. The household gets busy, another company calls first, or the one-time clean goes well and nobody asks what's next.

Households ask several companies at once.

People shopping for a house cleaner often request more than one quote. Whoever calls back with answers tends to get the walkthrough. If your office is out cleaning all day, those callbacks slip.

One-time cleans don't turn into recurring on their own.

After the deep clean or the move-out, the client is happy and the job is done. Nobody asks whether they'd like a regular schedule, so they never set one up.

Paused clients drift.

A recurring client stops "for a few weeks" because of a trip, a tight month or a houseguest. Then a few weeks becomes a few months, and they never restart.

What the AI Follow-Up Rep does for a cleaning company

Calls consented, reviewed contacts from your own source.

You connect one reviewed source from your own business, such as your quote form or client list. Each contact needs recorded permission for the AI call and is reviewed before a call can go ahead. The queue is checked every five minutes, up to five jobs per run, during your approved calling windows. Timing isn't guaranteed. See how the callback queue works.

Answers what you approved.

Your rep can answer the questions you've approved, like which areas you serve, whether supplies are included or your pet policy. Those answers only work if you approve them. Price questions you haven't approved become a team request. The AI doesn't give instant quotes.

Offers your booking link or records a request.

When the client is ready, your rep offers your booking link. If they'd rather talk to someone, it records a team request. The AI does not confirm a calendar booking.

Outcomes in your portal and inbox.

Every call shows up in a 30-day private call history in your portal, and your team gets email notices.

Voice, not text: who that suits

Let's be upfront. Customer SMS and automatic customer email sequences are off. Your rep follows up by voice call only. If your clients only want texts, this may not suit you today.

Voice helps when the question needs a conversation. Is the move-out date still the same? Do they want a walkthrough first? Would every other week work better than weekly? Those are easier to sort out in a two-minute call than in a long text thread.

What about leads from marketplaces?

The setup is one reviewed source from your own business. Marketplace lead feeds aren't listed as supported, and new sources or integrations may require a separate agreement.

If most of your leads arrive through a marketplace, confirm your source with EastSherman before you buy. Don't assume a marketplace feed will work.

Example: a move-out clean callback

Example call (illustration). Your rep uses your approved answers. Bracketed text is a placeholder for your own wording.

Maya (AI rep): Hi, this is Maya, an AI assistant calling for [Your Cleaning Company]. You asked us for a move-out cleaning quote last week. Is your move date still the same?

Customer: Yes, end of the month. Do you also clean carpets?

Maya: [Your approved answer about carpet cleaning.] If you'd like more detail, I can ask someone from our team to call you.

Customer: No, that's fine. How do I book?

Maya: I can send you our booking link now, so you can pick a time that works around your move.

Customer: Great, thanks.

Maya: Done. Good luck with the move.

If you haven't approved an answer about carpets, Maya records the question as a team request instead. Either way, the outcome lands in your portal.

Who it fits, and who it doesn't

Fits Doesn't fit (yet)
Cleaning companies with their own quote form or client list that records AI-call permission Businesses whose clients only want texts
Owners who want paused recurring clients asked back, with permission Leads that arrive only through a marketplace feed
One business, about 10 connected hours a month Calling purchased lists or building lists

The same approach works for small commercial cleaning companies, as long as contacts come from your own source and recorded AI-call permission. Comparing tools? See AI quote follow-up tools compared.

Getting permission right on your quote form or booking intake

EastSherman only calls people who gave recorded permission for the configured AI call, and every contact is reviewed. A quote or past purchase alone is not consent. Purchased cold lists are excluded.

A practical suggestion: put clear, separate AI-call permission language on the form or intake step where households ask you for work. Don't bury it in your terms.

Why the care? The FCC treats AI-generated voices as "artificial or prerecorded voice" under the TCPA, so those calls need the called person's prior consent (FCC Declaratory Ruling FCC-24-17). That's why the review step exists. Talk to your own attorney about your forms. This isn't legal advice.

You choose your calling hours. As general context, federal rules bar telephone solicitations to homes before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. in the customer's local time (47 CFR 64.1200).

What it costs

$197/month pricing covers one business with 600 connected minutes (10 hours) a month. That could cover 100 calls averaging six minutes; actual counts depend on duration. Practice calls count.

Yearly is $1,967 billed upfront, which works out to $163.92/month. Save $397. No setup fee.

There are no overage charges and no rollover. You get alerts at 80%, 90% and 100%.
