AI follow-up calls for pest control companies
EastSherman's AI Follow-Up Rep calls pest control customers who gave recorded permission for an AI call, such as homeowners with an open termite or inspection quote, or customers whose plan lapsed. It answers only approved questions and offers your booking link or records a team request. Purchased lists are excluded. It costs $197/month.

Where pest control follow-up slips
Pest control runs on routes and recurring plans. The routine work gets done. The callbacks in between, the ones that grow the business, are what fall through.
Termite and inspection quotes sit open.
A homeowner asks for a termite inspection or a bigger treatment quote, gets the number and says they'll think about it. Bigger jobs take longer to decide, and without a second call they often stay undecided.
Quarterly plans lapse quietly.
A card expires, a service gets skipped or the customer pauses for the winter. Nobody formally cancels. The plan just stops, and unless someone calls, it doesn't restart.
Seasonal prospects need a second call.
Mosquito, ant and rodent requests spike with the seasons. Your techs are busy treating homes, so the people who asked for a quote last week don't hear back.
What the AI Follow-Up Rep does for a pest control company
Calls consented, reviewed contacts from your own source.
You connect one reviewed source from your own business, such as your service request form or customer list. Each contact needs recorded permission for the AI call and is reviewed before a call can go ahead. The queue is checked every five minutes, up to five jobs per run, during your approved calling windows. Timing isn't guaranteed. Read how the callback queue works.
Answers only what you approve.
Your rep can cover approved basics, like service area, plan frequency or whether an inspection is free if you've approved that answer. It doesn't diagnose pests and doesn't give treatment advice.
A recommended setup choice: have safety, chemical, pet and health questions recorded as a team request, so a licensed technician calls back. The AI only says what you approve, and these questions are worth a person's answer.
Offers your booking link or records a request.
When the homeowner is ready, your rep offers your booking link. If they'd rather talk to someone, it records a team request. The AI does not confirm a calendar booking.
Outcomes in your portal and inbox.
Every call shows up in a 30-day private call history in your portal, and your team gets email notices.
Not for door-knock or purchased lists
Some pest control companies sell door to door or buy lead lists. EastSherman isn't built for that. Purchased cold lists are excluded, and every contact needs recorded permission for the configured AI call, plus review, before anyone gets a call.
The fit is your own customers and enquiries: people who asked you for a quote, or plan customers who gave recorded permission for an AI call.
Example: a lapsed quarterly plan callback
Example call (illustration). Your rep uses your approved answers. Bracketed text is a placeholder for your own wording.
Miles (AI rep): Hi, this is Miles, an AI assistant calling for [Your Pest Control Company]. It looks like your quarterly service paused this spring. Would you like to get it going again?
Customer: Maybe. We just got a puppy, though. Is the treatment safe for dogs?
Miles: That's a good question for one of our licensed technicians. I'll record it as a request so someone from our team calls you back about it.
Customer: Okay, thanks.
Miles: In the meantime, I can send you our booking link, so you can pick a time once you've heard from them.
Customer: Sure, go ahead.
Miles: Done. Thanks for your time.
Miles doesn't answer the safety question. The request lands in your portal, and your team gets an email notice.
Who it fits, and who it doesn't
| Fits | Doesn't fit (yet) |
|---|---|
| Residential pest control companies with their own service request form or customer list that records AI-call permission | Door-to-door sales teams or purchased lead lists |
| Owners who want lapsed plan customers called back, with permission | Companies that want texting or email drips |
| One business, about 10 connected hours a month | Operations that need PestPac, FieldRoutes, or GorillaDesk sync |

Getting permission right on your service request form and customer agreement
EastSherman only calls people who gave recorded permission for the configured AI call, and every contact is reviewed. A quote or past purchase alone is not consent. Purchased cold lists are excluded.
A practical suggestion: put clear, separate AI-call permission language on your service request form and in your customer agreement. Don't bury it in your terms.
Why the care? The FCC treats AI-generated voices as "artificial or prerecorded voice" under the TCPA, so those calls need the called person's prior consent (FCC Declaratory Ruling FCC-24-17). That's why the review step exists. Talk to your own attorney about your forms. This isn't legal advice.
You choose your calling hours. As general context, federal rules bar telephone solicitations to homes before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. in the customer's local time (47 CFR 64.1200).
What it costs
