AI follow-up calls for garage door quotes

EastSherman's AI Follow-Up Rep calls garage door customers who gave recorded permission for an AI call, such as homeowners with an open new-door or opener quote. It answers approved questions and offers your booking link or records a team request. It isn't an emergency or broken-spring line. It costs $197/month for 600 minutes.

Broken spring at 7 a.m.? You need an answering line. Quote from last Tuesday? That's this.

Why new-door quotes stall

Repairs close fast because the door won't open. New doors and openers are a different sale. They're a choice, not an emergency, and choices wait.

It's a design decision.

Style, color, windows and insulation. Homeowners look at pictures, drive around the neighborhood and change their minds. A week turns into a month.

Someone else signs off.

A spouse wants to see the options, or the HOA needs to approve the style. The homeowner means to call you after that, and then life gets busy.

The repair fixed it for now.

You replaced the spring or the cable, and the old door works again. The quote for a new door slides down the list, even if they still plan to replace it.

None of these customers said no. They just haven't heard from you again.

Emergency calls and follow-up calls are different jobs

The emergency call is a broken spring, a door off its track or a car stuck in the garage. Someone needs to answer right away and get a tech out. A person, an answering service or an AI receptionist handles that.

The follow-up call is a scheduled callback to someone who already asked you for a new door or opener quote. Nobody is stuck. The job is to see whether they're still deciding and make the next step easy.

EastSherman's AI Follow-Up Rep only does the follow-up call. It doesn't answer inbound calls and doesn't dispatch anyone. If missed inbound calls are the bigger problem, read AI receptionist vs AI follow-up rep.

What the AI Follow-Up Rep does for a garage door company

Calls consented, reviewed contacts from your own source.

You connect one reviewed source from your own business, such as your quote request form. Each contact needs recorded permission for the AI call and is reviewed before a call can go ahead. The queue is checked every five minutes, up to five jobs per run, during your approved calling windows. Timing isn't guaranteed. See how the callback queue works.

Answers what you approved.

Your rep can answer questions you've approved, such as your service area, which brands you install or how long installs usually take. Questions about warranties, specific door models or price changes become a team request unless you've approved an answer. The AI doesn't change quotes.

Offers your booking link or records a request.

When the homeowner is ready for a measure or install visit, your rep offers your booking link. If they'd rather talk to someone, it records a team request. The AI does not confirm a calendar booking.

Outcomes in your portal and inbox.

Every call shows up in a 30-day private call history in your portal, and your team gets email notices.

Example call (illustration). Your rep uses your approved answers. Bracketed text is a placeholder for your own wording.

Maya (AI rep): Hi, this is Maya, an AI assistant calling for [Your Garage Door Company]. You asked us for a quote on a carriage-style garage door a couple of weeks ago. Are you still thinking about it?

Homeowner: We are. The HOA approved the style, but now we're wondering about a different color. Would that change the price?

Maya: I can't change the quote myself, but I can ask our team to call you about the color and pricing. Would that help?

Homeowner: Yes, please.

Maya: I'll pass that along as a request. I can also send you our booking link for the measure visit, so you can pick a time when you're ready.

Homeowner: Sounds good.

Maya: Done. Thanks for your time.

The color question goes to your team as a request. Maya doesn't quote a new price.

Getting permission right on your quote request form

EastSherman only calls people who gave recorded permission for the configured AI call, and every contact is reviewed. A quote or past purchase alone is not consent. Purchased cold lists are excluded.

A practical suggestion: put clear, separate AI-call permission language on the form or intake step where homeowners ask you for a quote. Don't bury it in your terms.

Why the care? The FCC treats AI-generated voices as "artificial or prerecorded voice" under the TCPA, so those calls need the called person's prior consent (FCC Declaratory Ruling FCC-24-17). That's why the review step exists. Talk to your own attorney about your forms. This isn't legal advice.

You choose your calling hours. As general context, federal rules bar telephone solicitations to homes before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. in the customer's local time (47 CFR 64.1200).

What it costs

$197/month pricing covers one business with 600 connected minutes (10 hours) a month. That could cover 100 calls averaging six minutes; actual counts depend on duration. Practice calls count.

Yearly is $1,967 billed upfront, which works out to $163.92/month. Save $397. No setup fee.

There are no overage charges and no rollover. You get alerts at 80%, 90% and 100%.
